The Smurfs are back! And this time they have company.
In the sequel to “The Smurfs,” our blue-blooded heroes will team up with their human chums to rescue Smurfette (Katy Perry) from Gargamel (voiced by Hank Azaria), who has just created some rough-and-tumble creatures called the Naughties (brought to life by Christina Ricci and JB Smoove).
“They’re not bad, they’re misguided,” director Raja Gosnell told EW about the new additions to the cast. “They’re just products of their upbringing. And they haven’t had the best upbringing, let’s say.”
The film also stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofia Vergara, Brendan Gleeson, Katy Perry, Jonathan Winters, Alan Cumming, Fred Armisen, Christina Ricci, George Lopez, Anton Yelchin and John Oliver.
