Don 2 is a classic action/crime thriller that doesn’t let go, even for a moment. More importantly, the plot has been finely crafted, with every twist and turn falling into place like a complicated albeit neat little jigsaw.
The high point of the film is Shah Rukh’s delineation of the character of the Don. The actor interprets him as an arrogant, agile, wicked and wild dare-devil who has the most bizarre schemes up his sleeves. But that’s not all.
The film does lack a bit on the emotional quotient and human relationships are hardly given a chance to grow.

With DON 2, Farhan Akhtar reasserts himself as one of Hindi cinema’s stylish storytellers. It wouldn’t be erroneous to state that DON 2 redefines slick in Bollywood. But the film could’ve done with a tighter script.
DON 2 marks SRK’s return to anti-hero roles after enacting such roles with flourish so early in his career. Recall BAAZIGAR, DARR and ANJAAM. He plays a wicked, debonair anti-hero in DON 2. Priyanka revisits her character of Roma in DON 2.

In his new film Don 2 director Farhan Akhtar takes his time introducing us to his lead, played by Shahrukh Khan We get a whiff of Khan, a slight sense of his presence, with close shots and shaky hand held camera.
For an action film with the central plot setting us up for a robbery inside a major bank, the film’s pacing is very slow. Coupled with that, the script explains everything to us step-by-step.
Rediff | Aseem Chhabra
The unmatchable charisma of Shah Rukh Khan with ultra-stylish dialogue delivery makes Don 2, worth a watch for one and all. Priyanka Chopra is at her best towards the climax switching lanes between helpless lover and revengeful cop. Lara Dutta plays her part well in the special appearance.
Farhan Akhtar yet again shows his brilliance as a director. The theft sequence is amazing shot with no room for technical goof-ups especially the way SRK escapes the inside chamber with plates in his bag.
