Barfi selected out of shortlist includes the names of 17 critically acclaimed Indian movies among which there are 11 Hindi films including-Paan Singh Tomar, Barfi!, Kahaani, The Dirty Picture, Heroine, Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1 & 2.

The Film Federation of India selected barfi and send themovie as Indian nomination for the category.

“Barfi is the Indian entry to the Oscars. We selected it to represent the country out of 20 films,” Supran Sen, secretary general of the Film Federation of India, told PTI.
